RED WINE - SAINT JOSEPH - RHÔNE VALLEY - E.GUIGAL
......"Vignes de l'Hospice" : a treasure !........
Grape : Shiraz 100%
VINTAGE 2013 /One of the appellation's most successful wines is the 2013 St Joseph Vignes de l'Hospice, which is a classic, age-worthy effort that exhibits lots of white pepper, exotic spice and chocolate-laced dark fruits and cassis. Possessing beautiful richness and depth, with fabulous purity of fruit, bright acidity and fine tannin, it will benefit from short term cellaring and drink well for two decades.

VINTAGE 2015 / The Wine Advocate / Score : (94 - 96)
Still aging in 100% new oak, the 2015 Saint Joseph Vignes de l'Hospice is rich and concentrated, piled high with blackberries and mulberries, yet savory, with a black olive component as well. It’s full-bodied, layered and complex, with a long, velvety finish. It should prove long-lived for a Saint Joseph. Joe Czerwinski.
