RED WINE - COTE ROTIE BRUNE ET BLONDE DE GUIGAL - RHONE VALLEY
Grapes: Syrah 96%, Viognier 4%
In the cellars of the GUIGAL estate in Ampuis, the northern appellations of the Rhône Valley are produced and aged. These are the appellations of Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage. The great appellations of the Southern Rhône; Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Tavel and Côtes-du-Rhône are also aged in the Ampuis cellars.
This Côte Rôtie from Guigal has a dark ruby red colour. On the nose it shows aromas of spices, red berries and a delicate touch of oak. Its palate is round with soft tannins. It develops aromas of rasberry, blackberry and vanilla. Balance between scarcely perceptible acidity and tannins which add ageing potential and softened by long ageing in oak.
Excellent with game, red meat and cheese.
Serve at 16°-18°C.
Can be laid down for approximately 20 years.
