Tasting Notes ...
RED WINE - PAYS D'OC - SOUTH FRANCE
Appellation: Pays d'Oc
Origin: Languedoc Roussillon - Beziers
Grapes: Syrah 39%, Grenache 27%, Mouvèdre 17%, Cabernet Sauvignon 17%
Deep ruby red colour, with inviting ripe berry and black fruit aromas, notes of bitter chocolate and a whiff of smoky oak and spice. It is rich, ripe and velvety in the mouth with masses of lingering cassis and blackberry fruit, lovely texture and a superb balance of tannic backbone and acidity.
A wonderful accompaniment to spring lamb, roast game, and rare beef. Its ripe generous fruit makes La Croix Chevalière enjoyable now, but it will also keep and gain complexity.
Serve at room temperature (16°-18°C) and open 1-2 hours before drinking.
