RED WINE - RHÔNE VALLEY - PAUL JABOULET AINE
GRAPE : Syrah 100%
The St-Joseph appellation is on the right bank of the Rhône. The Syrah grape in this area produces wines with aromas of liquorice, pepper and blackberries with fine and elegant tannins on the palate. Great structure and very nice balance. Enjoy now and within 6 years.
HISTORY
The name of our Saint Joseph, red and white, comes from Victor Hugo’s "Légende des siècles" : in the 9th century, the Grand Pompée, faithful companion to Charlemagne, fought at his side against the Moors, on the right bank of the Rhône. A famous line remains from this battle: "And wine, that wine beloved of the Grand Pompée".
